Grrr... It's already bad enough that some assholes put out there some DVD's crippled out with DRM, but it really pisses me off when those DRM'd DVD's don't even have a notice telling you that the DVD has DRM.
Assholes. Assholes. Assholes.
Assholes. Assholes. Assholes.
not to mention those DVDs which you *buy* and force you to always watch a one minute advertisement against piracy - no way to skip them
ReplyDeleteCan you tell us how the DRM affected you in that specific case ? What did it prevent you from doing ?
ReplyDeleteAnonymous 1: Yep, I agree that that's bad, even if I don't think that's as bad as you being stopped from seeing a DVD you bought.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous 2: Sure, the DRM affected me in a preety simple way: it stopped me from seeing that DVD, since it won't play on Linux, and my only DVD player is my laptop's, and the only OS I have there is Linux.
There's an easy way around that, mind booster, don't have Linux. It's pretty much useless
ReplyDeleteI don't want a way around, I want to use my laptop with my DVD player and my Operating System of choice (not only I don't think that Linux is useless, but I also believe it is the best OS out there), and there's no excuse for a "DVD" not playing in my computer - that disc is defective by design.
