New free stuff ('cause free is what you like)

This is a quick post, just to let you know a couple of things, both related to my musical projects.

First of all, my Metal band "Mordor" is officially setting itself "deceased" with the release of its last track, for free, in a 2CD Metal compilation: Carrying the Deadly Blast Vol. 3&4 is a free, Creative Commons licensed, double CD Metal compilation, feature tracks from bands like FluiD, Odium, Mordor, Nihil and Elgibbor.

Carrying the Deadly Blast Vol.3&4

The other news is about the first movie of a promising couple of directors: Playground is a short movie made in Blender, with a Creative Commons license and a soundtrack by Merankorii.

Here's the movie.

Enjoy!

Open Source Cinema

Open Source Cinema

Open Source Cinema is "a collaborative documentary project to create a feature film about copyright in the digital age". Which is great - not only you can have a role into making an actual movie, to be released in 2008, free with a Creative Commons license, but that aims to be in the movie theatres, but also the theme - basicly about the fact that art wants to be free. I could talk a lot about this, like others did, but instead I'll just recommend you to check out their website or at least watch the trailer.

A Suspeita

A Suspeita
"A Suspeita", in English "The Suspect" is a very Portuguese animation, made in 2000, directed by José Miguel Ribeiro, and it won the Cartoon d'Or in 2000.

It's a great animation, very well produced, really funny and yet with an interesting plot. It's a stop-motion animation movie, and the DVD has a really interesting documentary on the making of. But while watching the movie you'll soon forget you're seeing an animation, and will simply enjoy it...

Highly recommended. More info on IMDB.
